The project, monitored by Prism Design and Mori Design Team, took one and a half years to complete. It stands out for its unique blend of cultures. Japanese designers abstracted traditional Chinese elements and combined them with western culture, including colors and arts. The arrangement of the interior space also reflects traditional Chinese lifestyle.
The villa, spanning a total of 510 square meters, is a testament to the meticulous planning and execution of the design team. Each floor has a unique purpose and design. The first floor uses a transparency design method, with a loft space arranged together with the living room. The underground floor is a family theater and gym, designed to find the balanced point of western and eastern culture.
The second floor houses a child room and an elderly room, each designed with warmth and comfort in mind. The third floor features a master bedroom and a cloakroom, while the fourth floor is a private study room and bedroom, designed as a perfect place for meditation.
One of the challenges faced by the design team was to abstract traditional Chinese elements and combine them with western culture. The design is meant to dig into people’s memory of traditional Chinese culture. In this design, Chinese garden scenery method Kuangjing was used to arrange the space.
The Nantong Landscape Under Heaven 86 Villa has been recognized for its innovative design, winning Silver in A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award in 2018.
